Hello! I'm Irma Estrada. I am a 25 year veteran teacher with the LAUSD. During my years with the school district, I have taught kindergarten through third grade.
I am originally from Texas. I was born and raised in the city of El Paso. My ancestors came from Mexico. I am a second generation American, and the first person in my family to graduate from college. It wasn't easy. But, hard-work and perseverance paid off! I graduated and went on to receive my master's degree from Texas Tech University. Do you think my family was proud of me? You bet they were! Now, I'm living and teaching in Los Angeles. I am married to Victor, a talented artist and educator. I have three brilliant sons who also went to college and graduated. Their names are Miguel, Anthony, and Andres. Do you think I'm proud of them? I sure am! Our family keeps growing in brain power. And so can yours! Will you lead the way? |
A family hike up a very steep local mountain! Our family pet joined us. Her name is Cookie.
